Cintro is an Electrical Engineering firm specializing in residential, commercial and industrial projects since 2016.

The Residency Sutherland
The scope of work included the bulk supply application, LV site reticulation, telecoms site reticulation, small power and lighting for all units.
The following basic engineering tasks were performed:
• Load calculations according to the SANS 10142-1.
• Cable sizing taking the load current, permissible voltage drop and environmental conditions into account.
• Preparation of electrical layouts, i.e., power, lighting, wireways and single line diagrams.
• Fault current calculations.
CULLINAN SUPPLEMENTARY PV INSTALLATION
Type: Grid Tie Solution

This project was done for a local farmer seeking a solution that would reduce his monthly electricity bill. Utilizing the available roof space of the existing storage facilities we were able to install two separate systems providing sufficient power to run machinery during midday. The system was configured for zero export to the utility grid.
PREAM OFFICE SUPPLEMENTARY PV INSTALLATION
Type: Grid Tie Solution
Inverter Capacity and Type: 36kW
Solar Capacity: 21kWp
Estimated Annual Production: 32MWh
A local business owner invested in a rooftop pv system providing supplementary power to his premises with multiple tenants. The system has so far reduced the electricity bill with 45% during the winter and we expect a further 15% saving during the summer months. The system was designed for future expansion by adding additional pv modules.
MIDSTREAM RESIDENTIAL PV INSTALLATION
Type: Hybrid with 5kWh battery storage
Inverter Capacity and Type: 8kW
Solar Capacity: 8.1kWp
Estimated Annual Production: 12MWh
The installation serves a dual purpose by providing backup power during loadshedding and secondly reduces the monthly electricity bill. The solution offers seamless operating during loadshedding, remote monitoring and is compact for the installation in a garage or service room.
Horizon Heights Student Accommodation
Type: Grid-Tie Solar PV
Inverter Capacity and Type: 2 x Huawei 100-KTL grid-tie
Solar Capacity: 176kWp
Estimated Annual Production: 310MWh
The recently constructed student accommodation facility, accommodating 810 students, faces significant energy demands, particularly for water and space heating. With a keen eye on sustainability and cost-efficiency, the client initiated a search for solutions to curtail the hefty monthly electricity expenses. Anticipating future energy needs, they are also exploring the integration of battery storage technology to enhance energy management and resilience.

The client, Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg, approached Cintro Consulting Engineers for a customized solar PV plant with BESS, aiming to reduce costs and ensure reliable power.
